Sticking around after the Closing Ceremonies? Join us by learning about and helping to rejuvenate our community. The Host Committee has planned our Post-Conference at the Everdale Black Creek Community Farm on Thursday June 11, from 2-4pm. The farm’s mission “is to engage, educate and empower diverse communities through the growing and sharing of food.”
As a post-conference event that showcases some wonderful programs and initiatives that directly serve and revitalize the immediate community, attending the Black Creek Community Farm event will deepen your understanding and appreciation for honest farming and food fresh from the garden to your kitchen.
Our group will be broken up into three subgroups. Each group will rotate between a highly interactive tour and mini-workshop activity. Please note that there is an additional cost of $10 for the post-conference that goes toward the farm.
